Dave Roman joins me for an extra (and special) audio-only episode of Comics Are Great! for a discussion on our reactions to the new Muppets film, and a host of thoughts on the special considerations one faces when writing franchised characters.
WARNING: If you hate spoilers or opinions on a film before you see it, WAIT UNTIL YOU’VE SEEN THE MOVIE BEFORE LISTENING.

We’ll be streaming live at http://comicsaregreat.tv at 12:30 ET!Today at 12:30 ET I’ll be talking with Kim holm and Jono Balliett on the Comics Are Great! web show, and you can participate during the live broadcast!
Topics:
1) Use cases for “compressed” storytelling and “decompressed” storytelling, and what do those terms even mean?
2) How public improv and non-trivial time restraints can force you to plow through ideas and shape them into serviceable stories.
And knowing my history with Kim, there will likely be plenty of “give Jerzy a hard time” on the show.
Want to chime in on these topics, or have a question for Kim or Jono? You can participate via live chat as the show is recorded by going to http://comicsaregreat.tv. We’ll be setting up a little before 12:30 pm ET.

This was easily one of my most challenging classes. A group of high-energy boys. But with this final assignment I managed to get them to work as a group and create a unique and fun comics narrative. They were racing against the clock, but didn’t want the project to end.A lot of fun. Gonna get a chimichanga now.
